2022 vintage - An elegant and structured wine, matured in oak barrel

 

Grape variety :

55% Cabernet Sauvignon N

One of the oldest red grape variety from Bordeaux and Loire, it brings complexity and vivacity.

45%  Merlot N

Grape variety originate from Bordeaux area, adapted to the Charentes climate, it brings finesse, roundness and aromatic richness.

Tasting

To the eye: Dark ruby color with light cinnamon shades.

To the nose: Aromatic: black fruits and empyreumatic notes

On the palate: The palate mirrors the nose: delicate aromas of vanilla, red and black berries. This wine is characterised by a round, structured palate with subtle but present tannins. Good length and concentration.

About technics

Chalky and clay soils, well-ripened grapes, de-stemming and crushing, 18 days fermentation on the skin with pumping-over and release, barrel in March and aging during 12 month in old cask.

Our tips…

A red wine to drink between 16 and 18°C. Decanting will reveal all his potential.

Pair it with red meat, game and cheese. Try it also with a prime rib of beef!

You could appreciate it now if decanted; or keep it for 5 years time.
