Some Cognac-based cocktail and Charentais wine ideas

Rosé Pink Grapefruit

Ingredients for 6 people :

  • 1 bottle of wine rosé
  • Press 30 cl of pink grapefruit juice

In a big decanter :
Pour the rosé wine and the grapefruit juice.
Put in the refrigerator (several hours).
Serve very freshly.


Ingredients for 15 people :

  • 150 cl of red wine
  • 20 cl of Porto
  • 20 cl of Cognac
  • 250 g of sugar
  • 3 oranges and 2 lemons untreated after harvest
  • 1/2 L of lemonade (or sparkling water)
  • 15 ice cubes

The day before :
Empty the wine in an attractive bowl.
Add Porto, the Cognac, the sugar and the juice of an orange.
Wash carefully fruits, wipe them and cut them in thick slices of approximately 5 or 6 mm.
Add them to the preparation. Then put in a cold place.

At the time of serving :
Add the lemonade and the ice.
According to the season we can add 2 bananas cut in slices and/or 2 apples, 2 pears, 2 peaches cut in small squares, or another good handful of strawberries.

Sangria Rosé

Ingredients for 15 persons :

  • 5 bottles of rosé
  • 15 cl of Cognac and 15 cl of sugar syrup
  • 4 oranges and 4 lemons untreated
  • 4 peaches, 4 apples, 12 apricots and 1 banana
  • some strawberries and raspberries
  • 1 vanilla pod, cloves and leaves cinnamon
  • fresh mint
  • 1L of sparkling water

The day before :
Take the zests of oranges and lemons, then collect their juices.
In a bowl, mix the rosé wine, the sugar, the fruit juices, the spices, the zests and the Cognac.
Cover and marinate at room temperature.

Before serving :
Peel seasonal fruits and slice them very fine; add the filtered wine.
Leave to cool then add the sparkling water.
Mix the whole, add mint leaves and serve.

Colombard Pink Grapefruits

Ingredients for 6 people :

  •  2 pink grapefruits
  • 1 bottle of dry white wine of CoLombard
  • 125 g of sugar

Press both grapefruits, mix the juice obtained in the white wine and in the sugar.
Serve very freshly.
